CURRENT BEAUTY PRODUCTS + FAV MAKEUP CASE

Truth be told I didn't really start getting into makeup until about 4 years ago. Legit, all my makeup in college was from the drugstore (nothing wrong with that!) but in the past few years I started investing in some better quality cosmetics and playing around with different makeup routines. I quickly found myself having so much fun with makeup. I don't think any woman needs makeup to look beautiful but if wearing makeup makes someone feel more beautiful and empowered then more power to em.

I also want to talk a little bit about one of my new favorite things ever: this makeup case from Joligrace (c/o). I love that the case, although quite large, has so many compartments for organization. I can't tell you how much time I have wasted in the mornings digging through my other makeup bags looking for that one teeny tiny item that usually ends up in the bottom of the bag. Any extra minute in the morning I can spend in bed I will, so I don't have time to dig through what seems like a Mary Poppins bag of makeup looking for the right product. I love how I can separate the case into compartments for different categories like skincare, foundations, powders, mascara/eyeliner, etc. and then I can keep bigger, easy to find items such as makeup wipes, setting sprays, etc in the big center compartment. I also really like how sleek and chic the look of the case is.

SKINCARE //
  • Jade Roller - This is a fairly new purchase for me but I love it! My face/eyes are so puffy in the morning and rolling this upwards (important!) on my face really helps.
  • Trader Joe's Rose Facial Oil - Bet you didn't think you could find some great skincare products at good ol TJ's, huh? This is my best kept skincare secret! So inexpensive and such a good oil for your skin. The only link I could find is on Amazon but it's about half the price if you buy it in store.
  • Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Hydration Serum - Drunk Elephant is my favorite skincare brand but I'm not gonna lie... it's not cheap. I purchased a few of my favorite products in the travel size until I'm ready to pull the trigger on the full size!
  • Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum - The is hands down my favorite serum, and of course the most expensive. I use this in the morning and it really brightens my face and gives me a nice glow.
  • Kopari 'Save Face' Oil - This stuff is liquid gold and smells amazing. Good for all skin types and helps with fine lines, wrinkles, and overall preservation of your face.
  • Vitamin C Facial Serum - I usually use this on weekends, Sunday mornings specifically,  when my skin needs a little extra care.
  • No7 Early Defense Glow Activating Serum - Filled with vitamin C and ginseng, I've definitely noticed a nice glow to my face after using this for about 2 weeks now.
  • No7 Early Defense Night Cream - I got all these No7 products in a set because I've been looking for new day/night creams and I really like them so far and they're very reasonably priced.
  • No7 Early Defense Day Cream - anti-aging cream that feels light on your skin and awakens your face for the day.

PRIME & SET//

FOUNDATIONS & CONCEALER //

POWDERS//

EYES & BROWS//

  • it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara - this is one of the most recent samples I've gotten and I know I will be purchasing the full size version. I'm always a skeptic trying any new types of mascara because I'm a real creature of habit but I fell in love with this product. I use this before the Better Than Sex mascara to really separate and lengthen the lashes.
  • Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - I don't think there will ever be a day where I stop using this product. Definitely one of my top 3 staples. I use this after the itCosmetics (or Tarte) to thicken and add even more length.
  • Tarte Tartiest Last Paint Mascara - This was my go to mascara to apply before the Better Than Sex until I discovered the itCosmetics one. Even still, this one is definitely a favorite. Similarly to the itCosmetics one, I find that this mascara really separates and lengthens the lashes to give a perfect base coat before the Too Faced mascara.
  • Too Faced Mascara Melt Off - I feel like no matter how much I rub and scrub my face with a makeup wipe at the end of the night I can still wake up the next morning to find a significant amount of mascara left. Anyone else? This product is a lifesaver. I don't wear a ton of mascara during the week but I definitely add extra coats on a night out and I'm always sure to use this product after.
  • Revlon Brow Fantasy in color Dark Brown - I have always had quite thick and very dark eyebrows so I really don't need anything on them, besides a good wax every few weeks lolz. When I do want a more dramatic look I'll use this product - on the pencil side. I've tried a few pricier brow pencils but have ultimately found they have the same effect for me so I never splurge on brow pencils. I still think the quality is very good, though.

PALETTES//

  • Urban Decay Naked Palette (original) - I have all the Naked palettes and this one is by far my favorite.
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit - An oldie but a goodie, for sure. I don't contour all too often anymore but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the banana shade to use for my under eyes.
  • Tarte Tartelette Palette in Bloom - my favorite palette right now. The colors are pretty similar to the Naked palette.
  • NARS Nordstrom's Best Cheek Palette - I don't think this is sold anywhere anymore (I got it at the 2017 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale), which is so sad since this palette is BOMB. It has the blush colors Orgasm, Deep Throat, Luster, and Desire; the highlighting blush in color Albatross; and the bronzing color in Laguna. Highly recommend all these blushes!

MISC //

  • Lashes & lash glue. I just recently learned how to properly apply falsies so I've been wearing these whenever I have some kind of special occasion. I just get the Kiss brand (found in Ulta or drug stores) and I use the Duo eyelash adhesive in clear color.
  • Sharpener, tweezers, eyelash curler - the obvious necessities
  • A few of my new favorite perfumes - Donna Karen Cashmere Mist (soooo good, so perfect for fall) and Clean Reserve in the scent Rain (so clean and refreshing)
  • RapidLash eyelash enhancing serum - I've been so bad with being consistent with taking this recently but when I first started using this every night I definitely noticed a difference! This is also much cheaper than the Rodan & Fields serum that everyone loves.
  • Mac Prep & Prime - lipstick primer. Love using this when I know I have a long day/night ahead of me!
  • A few of my favorite lip products - Buxom plumping lip polish (in the color White Russian, FAVORITE), Too Faced Lip Injection Gloss (in color Milkshake), Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Liquid Lip (in color Pure Hollywood, the prettiest perfect pink), NYX Butter Gloss (in color Tiramisu)
  • Neutrogena Makeup Wipes - theeee best makeup wipes don't @ me
