CURRENT BEAUTY PRODUCTS + FAV MAKEUP CASE

Truth be told I didn't really start getting into makeup until about 4 years ago. Legit, all my makeup in college was from the drugstore (nothing wrong with that!) but in the past few years I started investing in some better quality cosmetics and playing around with different makeup routines. I quickly found myself having so much fun with makeup. I don't think any woman needs makeup to look beautiful but if wearing makeup makes someone feel more beautiful and empowered then more power to em.

I also want to talk a little bit about one of my new favorite things ever: this makeup case from Joligrace (c/o). I love that the case, although quite large, has so many compartments for organization. I can't tell you how much time I have wasted in the mornings digging through my other makeup bags looking for that one teeny tiny item that usually ends up in the bottom of the bag. Any extra minute in the morning I can spend in bed I will, so I don't have time to dig through what seems like a Mary Poppins bag of makeup looking for the right product. I love how I can separate the case into compartments for different categories like skincare, foundations, powders, mascara/eyeliner, etc. and then I can keep bigger, easy to find items such as makeup wipes, setting sprays, etc in the big center compartment. I also really like how simple and chic the look of the case is.

HOT N COOL THAI NOODLE SALAD

It has the word 'salad' in its name so it's healthy right?!?! 😉
Ok, but seriously - this one of my favorite recipes I've made (and by far the easiest) and I can't stop eating it. Also, I used the Trader Joe's Organic Yellow Lentil & Brown Rice Pasta so it's definitely a healthier alternative than regular noodles. This is a perfect side to bring to any type of potluck or get together and it's so easy it's actually dumb. This dish is so light and refreshing and has the perfect hints of sweet and heat. I'll be making this again reaaaaaaal soon.

10 WAYS TO MASTER YOUR MORNING COMMUTE

I moved to the city back in November and although I was so excited about my new apartment, I was pretty nervous to be trading my 13 minute commute into pretty much a full hour long commute. Now, 9 months later I feel pretty confident that I've ~mastered~ my commute... and even began kind of enjoying it! I've put together a list of 10 ways for YOU to master your morning commute and turning it into the most productive hour of your day.

OFFICE SPACE: DRAB TO FAB

I know, I know - it's been a while. Work has been pretty crazy and exhausting and we're going through a lot of changes. One of those changes being... MOVING DESKS! I'm a total creature of habit and I don't like change so I was NOT excited about this move initially. Although it was super annoying to pack everything up it gave me a chance to de-clutter, re-organize, and... most importantly... re-decorate! This was all the excuse I needed to go buy things I don't really need ;)
I think it is SO SO important to make your office space super cute, happy and personalized. You spend the majority of your time at work so why not make the most of it and make sure you feel happy and motivated  when you're sitting at your desk.

*EASY - NO BAKE!* 4th OF JULY FIRECRACKER TRUFFLES

I can't believe 4th of July is almost here! This is by far my favorite holiday of the year. I spend each 4th of July up in Door County with Matt and his family at their lake house - there's just no other way to spend the 4th than on the water! Each year I try to bring something cute and festive for the holiday so this year I took a shot at making these no bake 4th of July Firecracker Truffles. These were pretty messy but nonetheless, fun to make and so good!

ULTIMATE DESIGNER VS DUPE LIST!!

Here it is people, the ULTIMATE round up of some of my favorite designer items and their dupe look-alikes! I love to treat myself every now and again (far too often, actually), but I do pride myself on being a bargain shopper/sale hunter. I firmly believe looking good and keeping up with today's trends don't need to break the bank. Sorry in advance if you end up spending more money than you should!!!

Hello, my fellow bookworms!! I'm so excited to be partnering up with Storiarts again with another post (CHECK OUT my first post about StoriArts and why I love this company). StoriArts just launched an AMAZING and exciting campaign called Commit To Lit in an effort to fight worldwide illiteracy.
100% of the profits from our #CommitToLit tees go to support LitWorld so children worldwide can learn to read, write, and create. I am so thrilled to be teamed up with Storiarts tackling illiteracy worldwide.

WHY I HATE "BUSY" ft. COOL WATCH GIVEAWAY!!

Lately, the word 'busy' has started to feel more like an excuse than an adjective.
As the years after college go by, I have developed a pretty set daily routine. Being a creature of habit, this is something I depend upon yet sometimes I feel overwhelmed with a sense of ordinary.
After 2 hours in the car each day and 8 hours of work I feel burnt out. All I want to do after work is make some dinner, collapse on my couch, and watch some Bravo. After a while, I find myself confusing this robotic routine of everyday life for 'busy', when in reality - we have the same hours in a day as Beyonce. If that quote doesn't stick with you, then I don't know what will TBH.

POSTCARDS FROM AUSTIN, TX

About a month ago, I was in Austin, Texas ya'll! I've never been to Texas before so I was SUPER excited to celebrate my best friends birthday in a new city. It was kind of a spur of the moment trip - Margot had been planning it for a while but I didn't think I could make it work and then one night, after a couple of glasses of rose, I said why the eff not and purchased the plane ticket. I was so happy I went - this was one of the best weekends I've had all year!

WHAT'S IN MY CARRY ON BAG? // WEEKEND TRIP

Does this make me nosey AF? Probably. Either way, I'm sharing what I keep in my carry on bag (tote) for trips just because tomorrow I'm headed to Austin, TX to celebrate my best friend's birthday!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, people!! Are you ready?! I have always loved Valentine's Day - whether I had a boyfriend or not.
